This year I turned the big 3-5. My sisters helped kick off this birthday by meeting me in Portland. It was a jam packed 3-day trip. We spent the majority of day one hiking along Columbia Gorge, and man are we so glad we did. There are no words to describe the wonder of the waterfalls that we got to experience. We ate at some of Portland's highest rated restaurants (Screen Door, Mother's Bistro, Beast, to name a few). And as if that weren't enough, my sisters even arranged for us to partake in a Zumba class, which you know is my most favorite activity. But all the awesomeness that was Portland set aside, I was just so thrilled to be able to spend a couple of carefree and silly days with the two women who mean the most to me. I loved our trip and I thankful that even at 35, we are able to make some awesome memories together. Special shout out to our husbands for holding down the forts so we could enjoy ourselves!

Shortly after the trip ended, one of my best gal pals, Tiffany, decided to come out and celebrate my 35th birthday with me as well. The majority of our time was spent chasing the kids around and grocery shopping to make meals for everyone, but our usual abundance of laughter was not lacking. Always a pleasure to see this girl.

And as if that wasn't enough, Eric arranged for us to celebrate with our friends in Colorado. We went to a new Indian restaurant in town, checked out a new brewery and ended up at a local favorite beer garden. It was a great night with great friends.

Again, I am reminded that I am blessed far beyond what I deserve. If this was a preview of what it'll be like to be 35, I am beyond excited about what this year has to bring.
